  • The two organisations have been working together since 2018 on a range of projects through the annual Social Programme – Future with Energy.

Fundación Iberdrola España has received institutional recognition from the Spanish Solidarity Centre Foundation (Proyecto Hombre Jerez) for its social commitment and its contribution, since 2018, to initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of people affected by addiction and living in situations of social vulnerability. The award was presented during the celebration of the Cádiz-based organisation’s 35th anniversary, held at the Atalaya Museums in Jerez de la Frontera.

The event brought together representatives from public administrations, social organisations, partner companies, professionals, volunteers, and families linked to the organisation. Among the authorities attending were the Deputy Government Delegate in Cádiz, Blanca Flores Cueto; the Mayor of Jerez de la Frontera, María José García-Pelayo; and the First Vice-President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Antonio Sanz Cabello.

The Iberdrola España Foundation, represented by its Director, Ramón Castresana, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation, highlighting the close partnership maintained since 2018 through the Social Programme – Future with Energy, held annually to support projects focused on children, women, people with addictions and other groups at risk of social exclusion.

Over the years, the Iberdrola España Foundation has supported a variety of initiatives led by the Spanish Solidarity Centre Foundation (Proyecto Hombre Jerez), all aimed at providing guidance, comprehensive care and promoting personal autonomy for people affected by addiction and families at risk of social exclusion. Through this collaboration, both organisations have contributed, and continue to contribute, to strengthening the positive work conducted by the organization in the province since 1991.

“Fundación Iberdrola España is grateful for this recognition, which serves as an incentive to continue supporting transformative projects that promote inclusion, equal opportunities and sustainable social development, in line with its commitment to generating a positive impact in the communities where it operates,” said Ramón Castresana.
